Quick Previews: Northeast Conference

Our conference quick previews are just quick predictions for the all-conference teams and the conference standings. If you came here looking for a deep analysis on each team, you’ve came to the wrong place. We’re too lazy to do that 🙂

At this time last year, Fairleigh Dickinson was being picked to finish 9th in the NEC after going 3-15 in conference play in 2014-2015. Fairleigh Dickinson proceeded to finish second in the conference and win the tournament to go to the Big Dance. Now, the Knights return almost everyone and enter the season as the NEC favorites. But it’s not that cut and dry up north. The Knights will be challenged by Wagner, who won the NEC regular season title and return three starters. This conference race will ultimately come down to how the Fairleigh Dickinson’s returners progressed this offseason. If the Knights core players improved from how good they were a year ago, the NEC could be Fairleigh Dickinson and everyone else. Otherwise, don’t be surprised if Wagner takes the league again.
